September 20, 1970, Paul L. Schmoker
purchased the Mathews Chevrolet Company
business from the Harry Mathews family -
Aurthur "Swede", Paul, Violet Kraye, and
Ruth Stoughton. The business had started in
1923.

In 1974, Paul did extensive remodeling.
The full service filling station was removed
(which is setting at Ray Sexton place). A new
self-service island was installed and con-
trolled in the show room of the dealership.
