DOWNING, MARILYN BRAMER DEIBLER

Marilyn Grace Bramer was born
1930 at Mullen, to William H. and
Sarah Bramer. Marilyn attended the Mullen
Public Schools graduating in 1947. She
attended the University of Nebraska at
Lincoln for three years where she was a
member of Chi Omega Sorority. While a
student there she met and married Daniel C.
Deibler, Jr., son of Daniel C. and Marian Gow
Deibler (both deceased) of Norfolk, Ne. Dan
and Marilyn moved to Mullen after his
graduation from the University in June 1950,
and for a time he worked for Johnson's
Grocery Store. In 1963 Dan was hired at the
Bank of Mullen and was Cashier at the time
of his death February 4, 1966. Dan was
involved in many community activities and
was a member of Mullen Masonic Lodge
#282 AF&AM, and Marcy Upton post #109
of the American Legion having served two
years overseas in World War II. He is buried
in the Cedarview Cemetery.
Marilyn Bramer Deibler and Howard V.
Downing of Whitman, son of George (deceas-
ed) and Pearl L. Keller Downing McIntosh,
were married on June 24, 1968 at Grand
Island, NE.
Marilyn Bramer joined the Methodist
Church in Mullen in 1942 and for many years
has been active in many areas in the life of
the church. Howard is a member of the
Methodist Church and the Mullen Masonic
Lodge #282, AF&AM. Howard and Marilyn
make their home in Mullen.
