KING, GUY AND DORIS (CLARK)

Guy and Doris King in the Mullen Depot
Doris C. is the only daughter of Rollin and
Susie (Newton) Clark, was born August 14,
1898 in Clay County, between Clay Center
and Harvard, Nebr. Doris married Guy
Llwellyn King, Dec. 24, 1916 at Dunning,
Nebr. His parents were Moss and Abby
(Chapel) King. Guy was born Sept. 11, 1897
at Montrose, Colo. To this union they had one
son, Rollin Eugene, born Febr. 14, 1918 at
Anselmo, Nebr.
Guy started out as a helper in the railroad
depot at Dunning, Nebr. in 1914. He worked
as an operator at Englewood, So. Dakota for
seven years, then moved to Thedford, Nebr.
as an Agent in 1921. Gene started his school
in Englewood, So. Dakota; attended High
School and graduated in Thedford, Nebr.
Guy and Doris moved to Custer, So.
Dakota in the Spring of 1945, and bid in the
station at Mullen, Nebr. July 1, 1946. Then
they moved to Mullen in Dec. 1946, after he
gave up Dispatching in Alliance, Nebr. He
lived and worked in Depot in Mullen, till he
retired in 1969. Guy loved to go hunting and
fishing. He passed away Jan. 28, 1977. Doris
worked at Gibson's Cafe for 10 years, and also
active with her church.
Gene married Phyllis Funk in Lincoln,
Nebr. in 1942. To this union was born one
daughter, Linda Sue. Later Gene married
Elsie Mae Reynolds in Alaska. They have two
daughters, Jenie and Candy. Both born in
Alaska. Gene passed away July 4, 1977.
Sue married Robert Heist. They have one
son Robert.
