to Hooker County. In the fall of 1917 they
returned intending to spend the winter. That
Fall James had a stroke while on the way
home from a field where he had worked all
day shucking corn. He died at the home of his
daughter and son-in-law, Jim and Nellie O
Brien near Eclipse. Their sons Clarence and
Morris B. lived in Omaha. Cora remained in
Grand Island. Arthur V., their youngest son
was killed in 1910 in a bar fight in Hyannis.
November 20, 1922 Martha married Henry
Boettcher at Grand Island. She passed away
February 10, 1926 and was buried beside
James Morrow at Eclipse in Hooker County.
