NICHOLS, LYNN AND CATHY (ROWLEY)

Lynn Nichols Family 1937. Cathy, Lynn (Front) Jeff and Jason
Lynn O. (Nick) Nichols Jr. was born
1946 to Lynn Oral and Frances Leona
Nichols in the town of Curtis, Nebraska at the
home of his grandparents.
Nick lived in North Platte until he was in
the 5th grade. Then the family moved to a
farm south of Maywood. Nick attended the
Curtis Public schools where he graduated in
1964.
In 1965 Nick enlisted into the United State
Navy for four years. When discharged in 1969
he held the position of Boatsmans mate 2nd
class.
Nick joined the Nebraska State patrol in
9170 and has been stationed in Mullen since.
He now is a trooper II.
On January 26, 1974 Nick married Cathryn
Ann Rowley from North Platte.
Cathy was raised on a ranch southwest of
North Platte and attended grade school at
Lone Star School District #71. After graduat-
ing from North Platte high school in 1971 she
attended the North Platte vocational techni-
cal school of nursing and passed state boards
to become a LPN in 1972. She worked at
North Platte Memorial hospital on the OB-
GYN floor before moving to Mullen.
The Nichols bought a home in Mullen in
1974. On 1976 Jason Lynn was born
then 1977 Jeffrey Thomas was
born. At this time both boys are active in
church, baseball, and federation wrestling.
Jason is a 6th grader and Jeff a 4th grader at
Mullen Public grade school.
After working at the Public Library for five
years Cathy is now a teller at the Bank of
Mullen.
The family has enjoyed the hunting,
fishing and golfing, the sandhills provides.
Everyone even took karate when it was
available, finishing with Nick a green belt and
Cathy, jason, and Jeff yellow belts.
