PURDUM, FRED AND CATHERINE

Mrs. Fred Purdum, Gladys and Robert, August 1957

Fred was born December 10, 1877 at
Atchinson, Missouri and died July 12, 1955.
Catherine Shimmins was born May 26, 1886
in Iowa, she died April 13, 1965. Fred and
Catherine were married April 29, 1907 in
Omega, Nebraska. Both are buried in the
Nampa, Idaho Cemetery.

Fred and Catherine came to Hooker
County in 1916 from their location in Mis-
souri and lived southeast of Mullen where
they were involved in farming and ranching.
They had a son Robert and a daughter, Mabel
Hope, now Mrs. Cotten of California. In 1949
they had a sale and moved from Hooker
County.
