Miss Signe Linnea Bengtson Rasmusen of
Genoa, Nebraska was born September 18,
1901 at Engleholm, Fleninge Parish, Prov-
ince of Malmohus, Sweden. During infancy,
Signe was baptized in the Lutheran Church
of Sweden, and came to America with her
mother, Alma Bengtson in the spring of 1905,
at the age of 3 years. She became a resident
with her mother in the Genoa community.
Miss Rasmusen worked and made her
home at Mullen for 30 years. A greater part
of those years were spent working as
Bookkeeper for the Mathews Chevrolet
Company.
Miss Rusmusen participated in commu-
nity activities and church, as well as office
work till her health failed and she went back
to Genoa to make her home with her sister,
Mrs. Floyd Miller. After 3 years of lingering
illness, she departed from this life at the
Emergency Hospital, Genoa September 12,
1956. The interment was at the Valley View
Cemetery of Genoa.
