Eunice and Lorel 'Bill' Ritenour, 1940.

Eunice Mabel, daughter of Herman and
Grace (Sexton) Marie was born Jan. 16, 1922
at Mullen, Ne. Eunice attended school in
Mullen County grade school and graduated
from Mullen High School. in 1940.

Eunice married Lorel "Bill" Ritenour May
8, 1940 at Pierre So. Dak. Bill son of John and
Myrtle (Johnson) Ritenour was born Oct. 21,
1914 at Ansley, Ne. Attended school at
Ansley, Thedford and Potter, Nebr. They
worked on Eunice's parents ranch south of
Mullen, where all four children were born.
Carl, James, Patricia and Dixie. Carl graduat-
ed from Mullen High School in 1959. Jim,
Patricia and Dixie. graduated at De Smet, So.
Dakota. All graduated out of Colleges in
South Dakota.

In 1947 we moved to Thedford, Nebr.,
ranch. There till 1953, then moved to DeS-
met, So. Dak. in 1953 on a farm, from there
we moved into DeSmet, where Lorel was
Chief of Police and Eunice worked at the
grocery store as a clerk for 8 years. In Dec.
1957 we moved back to Mullen and lived on
Herman Maire ranch till 1959. Then moved
back to DeSmet on another farm. In 1971 we
moved to Center, Nebr. on a dairy farm and
lived there for 15 years.

Carl married Kathleen Tschetter Oct. 19,
1962. They have three children, Carlen,
Keith, Colleen. They reside at Miller, So.
Dakota. Carl is Superintnedent of Sunshine
Bible School.

James teaches high school at Harrold, So.
Dakota.

Patricia married John Looby, May 8, 1965.
They have two children, Teresa, John Jr.
They reside at Redfield, So. Dak. Patricia is
a registered nurse and John works at same
hospital. Their daughter Teresa married
Mark Hofer March 22, 1986. They have a
daughter Whitney.

Dixie married Stanley Thorson Dec. 9,
1968. They have 2 children Troy, and Lance.
They reside at Gibbon, Nebr. Stanley works
at Meat Packing Plant at Gibbon.

We moved back to Mullen on her Mother's
ranch to look after Eunice's mother Grace in
1986.
