SCHADWINKEL, EMIL 'TED' AND LOLA (JOHNSON)

Lola Johnson Schadwinkel, next to the
oldest child of Chester and Pearl Johnson was
born 1929. She graduated
from the Mullen High School in 1947 and
from the University of Nebraska in 1952,
receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Elementary Education. Lola started teaching
in Alliance, Nebraska City Schools in 1952.

Lola and Ted Schadwinkel were married in
1954 and have three children. Sally
Schadwinkel Engelhaupt, born
1956, graduated from the University of
Nebraska. She and husband Steve live in
Hemingford, Nebraska, where she teaches
school and Steve manages Gregory's Insur-
ance Company. They have two children,
Andrea 5 years and Timmy 2 years. Craig was
born 1958 and graduated from
Chadron State College with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Physical Education and is
a Physical Education teacher and head
Volleyball coach at Gering, Nebraska. Sue
Schadwinkel Benzel was born
1960 and graduated from Chadron State
College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Elementary Education. She married Trent
Benzel and they live in Alliance, Nebraska.
Trent is in a Farm Corporation with his
father and brothers. Sue and Trent have two
children, Eren 4 years and Bryan 3 months.

Lola has taught in Alliance for 24 years and
Ted is a Clerk in the United States Post
Office in Alliance and plans to retire in May,
1988.
