TUCKER, MARVIN AND FLORENCE "PAT" (CLIFFORD)

Marvin and Pat Tucker


Marvin Tucker was born in Kansas City,
Kansas on November 18, 1914. He is the only
son of Placer and Lenora Tucker. Marvin had
two sisters: Doris (Tucker) Foster 1910-1981
and Iva (Tucker) Harding 1916-1975. Marvin
Tucker married Florence (Pat) Clifford of
Tryon, Nebraska on September 1, 1937. To
this union were born three living children:
Jack 1940; Gerald 1943; Susan 1948. Pat and
Marvin celebrated their 50th wedding anni-
versary this September 1987 at North Platte
where they have lived since 1969.

Marvin attended school in Hooker County
and graduated from the Nebraska School of
Agriculture at Curtis, Nebraska in 1933.
Marvin assumed the duties of the Tucker
Ranch in Hooker County after acquiring the
ownership by buying his parents interest in
1942.

Jack attended college at Oklahoma where
he met and married Linda Slocum of Weath-
erford, Texas. Jack and Linda have two
children: Julie who is a student at Lincoln,
Nebraska and John who is in college at
Oklahoma.

Gerald married Connie Schofield (deceas-
ed) of Casper, Wyoming. Gerald has three
living children: Laura, Scott and Teresa.
Gerald works on construction in various
places in United States.

Susan (Tucker) Jameson married Gary
Jameson of Tryon in 1967. They have three
daughters: Melanie who is a student at the
University of Nebraska, Angela, who is a
student at Tryon and Jana is in a country
school in McPherson County.

The family all holds an interest in the
ranch. The cattle operation is in the capable
hands of Jack and his family and they
continue the tradition of raising quality
Hereford cattle.
