The following names are those that the
Historical Society has only brief information
about:
1903-Lawrence Morgan was a resident of
Hooker County.
1906-C.W. Wilgas homesteaded south of
Mullen.
1907-Bill Cody had land on the Dismal
River.
1908-C.E. Williamson and wife Carrie
(Zepp) homesteaded 7 miles southeast of
Mullen.
1908-W.A. Brakett lived 7 miles south of
Mullen.
1908-H.G. Overton homesteaded 14 miles
southeast of Mullen.
1914-James and Eliza (Wadlow) Mills lived
in Hooker County. They had three children,
Bob, Elizabeth (McClure) and Charles.
Ernest Porter, eldest of 4 children, son of
Victor and Eutoka Porter, was born Decem-
ber 16, 1908 on a homestead northeast of
Mullen. He married Juanita L. Lucas Jan-
uary 10, 19?, to this union 12 children were
born. Ernest died April 8, 1972.
Conrad Anderson and son named Sonny
lived 25 miles southwest of Mullen.
Jesse Campbell family were early residents
of Hooker County.
Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Younkin homesteaded
near Mullen in 1907.where they lived till 1920
when he became foreman of Meyer Land and
Cattle Co. Arthur Co.
Mable Anthony Fox filed on a homestead
in 1906. She was united in marriage to
Richard S. Fox in 1910.
