BRADLEY, ORVILLE AND FAYE (BLOOD)

Orville Kirk Bradley was born in Mullen,
Nebr. 1927 to Issac Roy Bradley, who
had been raised in the sandhills after moving
here in 1910, and Annie Lee Kirk Bradley,
Annie was a college graduate, a very unusual
thing at that time to have a college graduate
teach in a country school. Her country schoo1
consisted of grades 1 - 10 and only one
teacher.
Fay Elaine Blood Bradley was born
1928 to Mile Blood and Gladys Irene Jones
Blood. Milo Blood was one of the earliest
traveling salesmen in the Sandhills, being a
chores man. He took needed merchandise to
the ranchers homes in the sandhills by team
and wagon. Gladys Jones Blood was the
daughter of the long time Blacksmith of
Mullen, J.C. Jones. She was also one of the
best lady bronc riders of the early 1900's.
Orville and Faye were married May 27,
1950 in Alliance. They have lived on the home
ranch all of their married life, working for
neighboring ranchers and living in Mullen
while educating their children.
Born to this union were-
Roy Kirk born 1951, Jim Omar
born March 28, 1953, now deceased. Jim
married Peg Erickson in Feb. 1972. They had
one daughter Sybil.
Gary Dale born Aug. 28, 1955, now deceas-
ed. Con Milo born 1956.
Ted Alan born 1958, married to
Meded Luckt at Torrington, Wyo. Aug. 15,
1980. They have two children Candice and
Mathew.
Vic Leon born 1960 married Kim
Moller at Ogallala on Aug. 3, 1985. They have
one daughter Heather, Ann Elaine born
1966.
Orville has always been interested in
improving his cattle and has studied and
worked toward that goal. Orville still has a
team of horses and three or four saddle horses
descended from the ones his father bought in
1924 to start ranching.
