Stanley N. Boyer was born April 14, 1922, in Cherry County. The youngest of 4 children born to Willie and Nellie (Phipps) Boyer. His sisters are Frances Pauline (Macke), Edna Marie (Dooley) and Margaret (Cleavenger) .

When Buck was 3 1/2 years old his father passed away. (November 1925) . He went to school at the Reigle school through the 6th grade. They moved to town where he attend-ed Hooker County Public Schools.

At the age of 14 he began driving trucks for his cousin Bill McIntosh and for the Mullen Coop. He continued driving trucks until he went into the service in July 1944. He served in the Philippines and was discharged in January 1946. After returning from the service he learned several traits, including carpentry which he has been doing for 35 years.

In 1941 he was married to Kathleen I. Pearman daughter of Prunes and Lena (Kerns) Pearman. 7 children were born to this union, one son lived only 3 hours and Willie Lee, born November 11, 1952 passed away at the age of 8.

Stanley Eugene, born 1941 married Billie (James) and live in Indianola Nebraska, where he works on construction. Stan has 21 years in the National Guards. They have 2 children, April Coreen and Andrea Arlene.

Woodrow Dale, born 1944 married Carol (Smith) and live in North Platte, Nebraska. Dale is employed by the Union Pacific Railroad. Dale served 4 years in the Air Force before beginning work for the railroad. They have 2 children, Landon Dale and Brandi Lyn.

Nellie (Kvanvig), born 1946 has 3 children, Buck Boje and Sheri Boje and Michael Ryan Kvanvig. Nellie works for the Union Pacific Credit Union in North Platte.

Douglas Glen, born 1956 married Linda (Pearson). He is foreman for Cherry County Department of Roads and lives in Mullen. They have 3 children, Brett Douglas, Dess Lou and Darci Lyn.

Ronald Dean, born 1957. He married Donna (Marshall) and is currently Asst. Vice President for the Bank of Mullen. They reside in Mullen and have 2 children, William Dean and Brandon Wade.

Our 5 children graduated from Mullen High School. We have lived our entire life in Mullen and have resided at the Sandhills Trailer Court since 1960.
